Acanella eburnea (Pourtalès, 1868)
Diagnostic description:
Colonies usually with two, rarely three, branches arising from each node on the lower part of the main axis. Polyps scattered, rarely more than one per internode, and never crowded on the tips of branches. Marginal sclerites are strongly projecting and distinctly stouter than the rods of the polyp body.
Distribution:
The type locality is Sombrero Island (Lesser Antilles), North Atlantic Ocean, in 517 fathoms (945.5 meters).
