Lepidisis sp. from Kelvin Seamount

A complete specimen of the unbranched bamboo coral Lepidisis sp. from 2252 meters depth on Kelvin Seamount that was cut into sections for collection; the blue ruler is 6 inches (15.2 cm). The entire colony is approximately 3.3 meters (11 feet) tall.
